This policy describes how Wide Alive LLC (“Wide Alive”) handles information on widealive.com and for the operational SMS notification program described on the SMS Notifications page. Wide Alive builds and operates experimental software and connected systems. This website is informational. It is not a commercial storefront and does not sell products.
Information we collect
We collect only a small amount of information:
- If you enroll in SMS notifications, we collect the mobile number you enter, your SMS consent, the time of consent, and the source of that consent (this website form).
- This website uses Google Analytics, which may collect standard usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, browser type, and similar technical information.
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect payment information on this site.
SMS and mobile data
Mobile numbers and SMS opt-in or consent data are used to provide the operational notification service you requested. That service sends low-volume software alerts to opted-in system operators, such as task completed, task failed, and operator input required.
Mobile opt-in data and consent are not sold. Mobile opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Service providers may process this data only as needed to operate the service, for example to host this website or to deliver messages through a messaging platform.
When enrollment succeeds, Concierge durably records the mobile number, the consent state, the consent timestamp, that the consent came from this website form, and the policy or terms versions shown at that time. This site does not send text messages itself.
How we use website information
Website analytics help us understand whether these pages are working. We do not use analytics to build marketing profiles or to sell advertising.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. We do not use SMS consent for promotional or marketing messages. We do not share mobile opt-in data so that another company can market its own products or services.
Retention
SMS consent records are kept by Concierge for as long as needed to operate the notification program and to show that consent was collected. Analytics data is retained according to the Google Analytics settings used on this site.
